The Cheese Wheel Camden Review

There is something about Camden town that resonates with my soul on every level. It's raw  funky vibe attracts a kaleidoscope of social types which keeps you interested if you're a people watcher. The shops, popular, vintage and quirky will get you spending your whole months wage in a day easy .
My favourite place of all is the Kerb Camden Street Food Market which has 34 street food vendors. This place cannot be conquered in  one day unless you're a ruminant with 2 stomachs.  The smells wafting from the market as you enter is like an intoxicating spell, I was truly entranced. I didn't know where to start what to eat or even what direction to walk in, it is a maze of culinary delights and bright colours in amongst the hustle and bustle  of foodie brethrens.
Within all the excitement there was one place that I had to visit after watching an #insiderfood review, and that was the Cheese Wheel. The Cheese Wheel make freshly rolled tagliatelle in a creamy white wine sauce with parmasan, garlic and chive. You're thinking and so what.... big deal, it's just pasta. The difference here is that the dish is then spun in a giant  cheese wheel of Grana Padano to deliver an extra cheesy twist......its pretty  cool to watch and above all an innovative cooking technique for a cheese tastic experience. It doesn't stop there, there is  an array  of toppings to choose from for an added cost of Ā£2  per topping or 2 for the price of  Ā£3.
I chose the wild mushroom  sautĆ©e, other topping  options include basil pesto  and dried tomato, smoked pancetta, smoked pork and leek sausage, and sheep's milk cheese  and chive. If none of the toppings tickled your fancy then you  could have the classic which was plain tagliatelle with a topping of chives which came in at Ā£6.50.
So the question you're all asking......was it tasty? Hell yeah! Was it worth the money for the portion, in my view no Ā£8.50 for a small bowl of pasta albeit very tasty is the price you would pay in a restaurant, not to mention you could purchase meat and chicken dishes at other stalls for the same price. Therefore in comparison to the prices  of some dishes produced at other stalls in my view  it  could have been a bit  cheaper. Would I return ? Probably not.... would I recommend it to others ? Of course, if you haven't tried i before then you must it's an experience and damn  tasty. It will definitley leave you feeling pleasantly satisfied with a lingering taste of joy in your  mouth.
So rating time .....cost 3 out of 5,  taste  4.5 out of 5, food quality 4.5 out of 5 and service with a smile 3.5 out of 5.
Take a venture down to The Cheese Wheel Pasta Camden, Fettuccine Alfredo @ the UK's first cheese wheel stand, www.cheesewheellondon.com , #thewheeluk. It's a well worth a visit
