Review of the Katsu House Japanese Kitchen, Kerb Camden Lock

The Katsu House Japanese Kitchen, described as serving Japanese soul food was my favourite stall. I’m sorry that I did not visit this stall first, as I had frequented 2 stalls prior, leaving me close to satiety. Thus I was only able to order the glazed sweet potato fries, my stomach had no more room for heavier dishes.

Although I must say that they were the best sweet potato fries I had ever tasted. Piping hot and covered in sweet soya sauce and sesame seeds. It was a lovely concoction of the sweet, nutty, crunchy and smooth. My taste buds were alive and mouth-watering with every bite, sheer delight.

The menu was small and varied enough to offer a different culinary twist to each dish. Prices varied between £3 to £7, which, in comparison to other stalls, was a pound or two cheaper. The reason this stall scored as my number 1, was not only the taste and price but also the customer service. The girl that served me and, I’m so sad I didn’t get her name to give her a mention, had great chat which gave the stall a really friendly vibe.

So let’s get rating,  vibe and ambience 5 out of 5, taste 4.8 out if 5, price 4.5 out of 5, customer service 5 out of 5.

Would I recommend the Katsu house Japanese House? Yes. Would I go there again? Yes. Good food, good chat great vibe.
